These locations in Mesa and Apache Junction are some of my favorite places to photograph because there are so many different types of scenery within a short drive. Whether you love the mountains, greenery, water, urban spots, or wide-open fields, you'll find plenty of beautiful options in the East Valley Here are some of my favorite locations for photo sessions in the area!
MCC rose garden
The MCC Rose Garden is a stunning location for anyone wanting a green location with roses. This spot is a hidden gem and the flowers typically bloom in the spring.

- This location is available year-round, but usually blooms in the spring

Located near the Salt River, this location offers a wide variety of backdrops. From water to saguaros to trees, there are several spots for a diverse gallery.
Notes:
- This location is available year-round, however the green-ness varies based on rainfall
- The walk to this spot is steep, so a change of shoes/clothing is recommended

Located near the Salt River, this location provides a stunning mountain view, along with water. If you're feeling adventurous, you can even get photos in the water! There are also other spots with gorgeous desert and cactus views.
Notes: This location is available in summer and fall
salt river location #3
Located near the Salt River, this location is the perfect combination of water, greenery, and desert. The view of the mountains is golden at sunrise and sunset. This location has several spots for a diverse set of backdrops.
Notes:
- This spot can get very busy during the late spring and summer. Sunrise sessions are encouraged during these times
- It is a somewhat steep walk to get to the water, so come prepared with a change of shoes if necessary.
- This location is available year-round

This location in Apache Junction features the stunning superstition mountains, along with trees, cacti, and occationally wildflowers and green grass.

Saguaro lake
This spot at Saguaro Lake is a pretty 'beach' vibe without having to leave Arizona. With Saguaros, trees, rocks, and the occasional wildflower, this location is perfect for anyone wanting diversity and water.

- This spot can get very busy during the late spring and summer. Sunrise sessions are encouraged during these times
- It can be difficult to walk in the sand, so prepare with a change of shoes if necessary

This location is perfect year-round for desert lovers. It features several saguaro and cholla cacti, along with the beautiful superstition mountains. This location is especially beautiful during golden hour, whether at sunrise or sunset.
